Yining Zhang

My name is Zhang Yining. I'm from China. I'm a fashion designer.

 

When I was in junior high school, I began to read fashion magazines and became interested in fashion. As I got older, I started to understand fashion from many different aspects and believe that fashion is much more than beauty. Fashion comes from all aspects of out lives and is constantly changing.

 

My inspirations comes from my life, mostly from the design of unique buildings. I like to feel the changes of life in the crowds. Every day, different tall buildings are built, and old buildings become ruins. I think that's the embodiment of the changes in our lives and the symbol of the Earth's cycle, which helps me to construct my design. Each building has its own unique shape, but also changeable. So the focus of my design is usually the change of silhouettes. Every unique outline always brings me a new feeling. So sometimes I use draping as my main tool to help me innovate on the silhouettes.

 

I am an enthusiastic and outgoing person who likes to meet multiple challenges to make life more interesting. At the same time, I am a good team player, I have team spirit and good communication skills. I have had experience in fashion show assistant and art education.
